We build artificial intelligence solutions for problems that matter
Laroye AI builds artificial intelligence solutions for problems that matter but struggle to attract traditional investment. We believe AI should serve humanity's overlooked needs, not just its most profitable ones.
Our name "LAH-ROE-YAY" is derived from the West African concept meaning "that which speaks/reasons for the sake of understanding."
It reflects our commitment to clarity, meaning and balance in the age of artificial intelligence.

Laroye AI operates on a dual-arm model
Our consulting arm partners with academic researchers, governmental institutions, and industry stakeholders, offering a unique approach to understanding their operational data and unlocking value that traditional methods leave on the table.
Every partnership we take on serves a deeper purpose. The revenue from our collaborations funds AI products that tackle the human welfare and wellbeing challenges traditional investment walks past.
Tree-Ring AI
Developed In collaboration with PARC (Prairie Adaptation Research Collaborative), Tree-Ring AI is an artificial intelligence product that predicts water availability, droughts, and floods using tree-ring growth patterns stretching back thousands of years. Where competing models rely on 40 to 100 years of observational data, Tree-Ring AI draws on centuries of embedded climate memory from tree core samples to deliver water resource intelligence serving governments, national defense planners, crop insurers, energy producers, manufacturers, and agricultural operators across North America.

JoyFuel
The problem with screens was never the screen. It was the quality of what comes through it when nobody is steering. JOYfuel lets parents and teachers set the intention behind what children consume, so the algorithm curates quality content instead of addictive noise. Children learn to use technology as a tool for discovery, self-awareness, and the values required for all of us to coexist peacefully with it and each other. Currently onboarding 1,000 parents across Canada, sponsored by Teachers Life Ontario.
David Akinmade
David Akinmade founded Laroye AI in 2024, building on research from his master's work at the University of Regina where he explored how large language models could be applied to real-world data challenges. That work sparked a broader vision: an adaptive AI company dedicated to solving problems that matter to humanity. Based in Saskatchewan, David is also a public speaker who has given presentations and podcast appearances on AI across the Prairies, a past time he genuinely enjoys.
